This Sunday, July 20th, why not check out the Police Dog -Team competition at the Can-Am Police-Fire games. Its a free event for the public, runs 9-4 at Credit Union Center, with 30 teams from across the country competing. This morning, I was talking to the co-ordinator of the event, Sgt. Steve Kaye, who is also in charge of the Saskatoon City Police Canine Unit. Our force here has 9 teams and I think just about everyone is amazed at the incredible intelligence of these dogs and the relationship they have with their handlers. This photo is from the Saskatoon Police website and I just laughed when I first saw it...trying to imagine what the dog is thinking..."Could you keep your eyes on the road buddy!!!"......"I really need to find a hydrant"......Give me your caption.
