Pssst...hey buddy...wanna make a million??? Just come up with a cloth Gazebo that lasts!!!
We bought a metal frame-cloth gazebo last summer...and its finished. I even took the cloth off and stored it over the winter, but two of the metal rods in the roof frame simply snapped this spring. I hate how the world is going with this cheaply made, low cost, often Made-in-China approach to consumer products. I realize cheap sells, but I dont want to spend anywhere from 150 to 400 dollars each year for one of these. I would be willing to pay 500 bucks if I thought it would last a few years. Can anyone recommend a good quality gazebo that has actually lasted years rather than months and ideally, has replacement parts available??

I had the same problem and
I had the same problem and have rebuild the frame and inserted rebar into the joins on the roof and it appears to have resolved the issue.
Crappy Gazebo!
We bought our gazebo last year & we have ours bolted to our deck. The outside frames are great but two bars for the top also bent. Lorne (carpenter) just cut two strips of wood, stained them & it works great. This gazebo also has two shelves in two of the corners and, wouldn't you know, he even has his TV out there. As for the canopy it doesn't fit that great but there is more velcro strips on this one than the one we had before. We put bamboo curtains on one side to make it more private & we can pull them up & down. THESE work GREAT!
If you'd be willing to spend
If you'd be willing to spend more (probably $1500 - $2000) you could get a pro to build one for you out of cedar. Real wood looks better, smells better, and with a little spring time maintenance will last for a decade or more. Or, if it's for your hot tub (assuming you have one, and I know what to expect when I assume) check out the Covana. They're made locally (in Vonda), and sold at Arctic Spas.
crappy gazebo
Hi Brent,
We have the same problem just last week our gazebo was totally wrecked by the wind. All four corners are bent. My husband thinks he could straighten and put rebar in to give it extra strength. As far as parts maybe we all have to swap parts to make a good gaZebo, before we throw it all out to the junk.
