Take a look at this amazing performance by Jamie Foxx at the BET awards last night in Los Angeles. Some pretty good moves by the 41 year old as he paid tribute to Micheal Jackson.

HuH?
Are you sure your link was to the right video? That was totally pathetic. Much, much better than I could have done, but still pathetic. And boring. And sort of stupid.
sorry, you missed the point
Jaime Foxx was not trying to "BE" the King of Pop, he was honoring the King of Pop. Of course he hasn't the moves MJ had, not many do, but he was sending a message that he was loved and respected, and that NO ONE will be like him again. I thought it was brilliant, and a great tribute.
What did he do that
What did he do that indicated that MJ was loved and respected? His opening was some comment about MJ's looks and how it didn't matter what he looked like. MJ WAS loved and respected, so why did Jaime feel it was necessary to make that comment? I think it showed that Jaime thought MJ was NOT loved and respected.
He followed it up with something along the lines of MJ belonging to the black community and that they 'shared' him with the world. BS. MJ belonged to MJ, he didn't need the permission of the black community to do what he did. Later Jaime made a reference to MJ grabbing himself, and then made a comment about his own penis being a 'cobra'. that showed respect for MJ? He gave the folks in the upper balcony heck for not standing up to show respect for MJ, but his 'performance' didn't give them anything to get excited about.
Perhaps I am just in a bad mood, but I still say it was a flat, lifeless 'tribute' that seemed more about 'I'm Jamie Foxx, look at me, MJ should be honoured that I am doing a tribute to him'than it was about honouring Michael.
Jamie foxx is embarrassing
Jamie foxx is embarrassing and will always be. He is not "ray" and is not funny. He is just trying to get the MJ role later on in his career.

You're kidding me Brent,
You're kidding me Brent, right??
This 'tribute' show was an embarrassment to the entire African-American community. BET has continually brought down African-Americans (and Canadians...dammit forget the political corrected-ness...let's just say BLACK) for decades, continuing to play music videos that are violent, sexist and degrading.
This awards show was supposed to honour a great musician. It instead turned into a minstrel show - including Canada's Drake (formerly of "Degrassi").
Everyone who participated in this show should be ashamed of themselves.
