Wow...is Wii wonderful!! Yesterday, I was invited to the Saskatoon Convalescent Home to help kick off  Special Care Home week with one of the events being a Wii Challenge. The winning team was Irene Hilchewich from St. Annes along with Darlene Eberle, Chair of the Saskatoon Health Region (2nd from the right). In second place was Roger Bishop from Sherbrooke and Assistant Fire Chief Dan Paulson (1st on left)....3rd was yours truly with my partner Cecil Fraser from the Convalescent Home (far right)...and last place...it was Mayor Don (TwinkleToes) Atchison and his partner Hilma Glessing from Sherbrooke. Also joining the fun was Saskatchewan Justice Minister Don Morgan. I'm hoping my enthusiasm for the game will finally see my wife give in and let me Wii at home.

Awe, it's OK Brent

Brent, don't feel bad about losing to A.Chief Paulsen. 1- Fire fighters are always kept in good shape. 2- Paulsen is an athlete, and I've seen him compete against university guys in beach volleyball and hold his own. Don't let the silver hair fool you.

Hey Brent....good on you for

Hey Brent....good on you for doing this. I used to volunteer at nursing homes when I lived in Red Deer (before we came back home to good ol' Saskabush...and glad we did) anyway it was a blast. We used to carpet bowl - way before Wii. It sure doesn't take long to adopt surrogate Grandma's and Grandpa's. I just may take a trip to Saskatoon (I live in the Battlefords) when you have your Wii Tournament with the Mayor. That would be a blast and it certainly is for a good cause. But speaking of the Mayor....I listen to you EVERY morning when I get ready for work and have gotten into counting how many times your Mayor says "as well" when you have your regular Tuesday morning with the Mayor. So far his record has been 23 and today only 10 (but I missed the beginning). Have you ever noticed that? I bet you will now ...ha-ha. He sounds like a very nice man but he sure says "as well" a lot. It's become my Tuesday morning ritual as I do my hair...so I hope he doesn't stop.
I have been listening to you for years. All the way back to when you and Penny were doing oldies rock! I went from a "loyal listener" (remember that term?)to a News Talk Insider...You guys were great together. Still miss her on the radio. She had a way of making you feel like you knew her to the point that I actually felt proud of her when she got her degree and moved on to winning awards! Didn't surprise me though she seems like a real go-getter
At any rate Brent you are my favorite radio personality bar none..and I have listened to Gromley, Adler, Roy Green, Murray Woods..and many more over the years that aren't even @ 650 anymore...and your the best of all those guys. Love your meat and potatoes approach to life...you can tell your a down to earth prairie boy all the way and THAT my friend, is a compliment! Oh and the 3 wise men segment...I time my drive to work to listen to you 3...cracks me up every morning...Wray really has an infectious laugh. My husband's radio in his truck is set to 650 and you don't dare turn the dial! Have a great week and I may just see you at your Wii tournament for the adopt a family campaign (and I'll bring some friends.)

Wii

My husband and I bought a Wii system with the Wii Fit program
2 weeks ago and I am so pumped about the Wii Fit.
It is a great motivator to get you up and exercizing. (No excuses.)
It greets you in the morning, asks if you slept well. Advises you on which exercizes you need to focus on to improve posture, balance, and all around fitness. You have a personal trainer who shows you exactly how to properly do each of the exercizes from yoga, strength training, aerobics, and balance.
Don't wait till Christmas!!! Get one now!!!

I don't have a WII but the

I don't have a WII but the only time I did try it, it was with my parents and we bowled. They really loved it. I wonder if anyone would have bought a WII for a parent or is it only for the kids.
By the way, nice aprons!!!

Wii!

Hey Brent,
We are new Wii owners. I am looking forward to the Fit program for Christmas (family can you hear me?) but the boxing is keeping me going for now. Bowling is good for a stretch or two and the tennis I know you and Penny would love! Go for it now don't wait! Penny will be hooked on it!
PS: We are the same age as you guys so it's not just for the kids.
