Alright, if I'm a Vancouver Canucks fan, ( which I am not) I am not very happy right now. The team has just named Roberto Luongo their team captain. That's right, they named their goalie captain, but since he can't rock the "C", defenceman, and assistant captain Willie Mitchell will do all the talking with the officials. This means that the team will have three players with "A"s, and no official "C".

Dir: DJ Caruso Stars: Shia Lebouf, Michelle Monahan, Billy Bob Thornton
Synopsis: Shia Lebouf and Michelle Monahan play two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call. They're forced into a series of increasingly dangerous situations, using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move. They become the country's most wanted fugitives, as they work together to figure out what's going on.
The magic is over. After Sunday's loss to Montreal, it's evident that the Riders clearly need some veterans back on offense in order to compete with the elite of the CFL. The Riders appear to be a team that is clearly second guessing itself. One example of that came in the first half. Michael Bishop hit Rob Bagg on a huge pass and run play that put the Riders inside the Alouette five yard line. Saskatchewan couldn't convert. They had to settle for a field goal. If go to guy Wes Cates is in the lineup, the Riders have a much better chance of scoring on a play like that.
CNN's Jack Cafferty said it best this past week...
Hmm... she reminds me of someone...
Just sayin'...
Milgaard Report Fails To Satisfy. But Did You Expect It Would?
September 26th, 2008
So, there was no wrongdoing in the David Milgaard case, although the Commission of Inquiry does find the justice system failed him.
No wrongdoing. No one did anything wrong, it was just a series of incredibly unfortunate events, mistakes if you will. One after another, after another after another…. But no one ever, as far as can be determined to a judge’s satisfaction, ever did anything that purposely amounted to screwing David Milgaard over.
I don't know if you have heard the story but a former Hamilton alderman is going to approach Hamilton's mayor requesting that the name of the football stadium where the Ti-Cats play be changed from Ivor Wynne Stadium to Ron Lancaster Stadium. My good friend Drew Remenda applauds the idea but also wonders why this isn't being done here or something else of great magnitude. Callers suggested things like statues or renaming some stretch of road like they have done in Edmonton with Wayne Gretzky Way that rolls right past Rexall Place.
- I really feel for the students and parents who were affected by the gun incident at Luther College High School in Regina on Tuesday. Scary stuff.

I came back from my honeymoon (London was great, and Paris was mindblowing, but now I need a holiday that involves less running around!) just in time for the big release of The Godfather on Blu-ray.
Here's my question --- do we need more versions of movies released in umpteen different formats? How many versions of the Godfather have I owned? When does it all end???
