Beverly Hills Cop IV?!?!?!? And this weekend's releases!

Yes, it's true.  Eddie Murphy and craptastic director Brett Ratner are in talks to shoot a new adventure with Detroit cop Axel Foley.

We've seen more superfluous sequels in the last couple of years than you can shake a stick at --- from Rocky to Rambo to last weekends Indiana Jones IV, and even a Terminator IV is in the works.  Why think of new ideas when you can just make an inferior sequel?

This Bowman Could Be Bigger Than Gerald

OK, OK, there may be no bigger Bowman in Saskatchewan than our "Ayatollah of Canola", our very own ag guy Gerald Bowman. However the footage of Rider addition Adarius Bowman is impressive as was the column done on him by the Leader Posts Rob Vanstone on Wednesday. I will be checking this guy out at practice on Thursday to see if he can live up to this footage. Could the Riders have found another Matt Dominguez???

Tomorrow night, Thursday the 29th, is the last night for the documentary "Up the Yangtze."  If you haven't seen it yet, you might want to check it out --- it's playing at the Broadway Theatre in Saskatoon.

Let's Call them SURN

There's a reason why the union representing registered nurses in the province of Saskatchewan chose the name they did...

SURN sounds angry.

SUN sounds happy.

How can you disagree with the word SUN?

Like the unionesque term "working people" (because non-unionized folks like you and I don't "work", I guess), the use of words by SUN bother me.

An "F"??!! C'mon

A Winnipeg columnist has given the Saskatchewan Roughriders an “F” for their off-season moves. Is this just bitterness from the Grey Cup loss coming from the Manitoba capital or is this an accurate assessment of what was done. Yes, the Riders did lose their head coach and their MVP quarterback ---that can’t be denied nor argued but to say the football team gets an “F” for what it has done between hoisting the Grey Cup and today is a little harsh and a little overblown if you ask me. Eric Tillman wanted to get younger at the quarterback position---he did.

--What was your reaction when you saw the Memorial Cup crumble in Chris Bruton's hands, I couldn't stop laughing!!!

--I'm bias because he is a good friend of mine but I could sit down and watch a hockey game any day with Sportsnet's Peter Loubardias calling the play-by-play. Is there anything in the world of junior hockey the man does not know??!!

--Danica Patrick should be glad she doesn't drive in Saskatchewan. She's not the first person to get clipped because someone didn't look to see if it was safe to go before pulling out.
