This was parked outside a Saskatoon Wal-Mart today. I really don't understand what motivates a person to think this is an awesome idea.

I know I said that I was done for 2008, but I was hauled out of holidays to do a spot with John Himpe on the Cory Kolt show this afternoon - a look back at 2008 on the John Gormley Live Show. So I figured I'd post what I considered the highlights of the past year. I suppose 'highlights' isn't the best word to describe some of these topics, but the fact remains that there will always be topics we don't want to talk about, but must.
Given my line of work, the more chaotic the world around us - the easier it is to do my job.
I love every minute of it, but it makes the holidays that much more welcome. I'm really looking forward to spending some good quality downtime with our family and friends.
...for sniffling, coughing, puking...you get the picture.
No lie - I've been sick for a month. It all started the week of November 16th, with what boiled down to the sniffles. The following week, November 24th - the stomach flu - which came and went pretty quickly, but left behind a head cold that seemed much worse than the one I had before.
I've been horribly congested ever since, with no real sign of letup. Then, last night, my throat started hurting on the right side, today it's aching painfully along with my right ear.
I love eggnog. Every last calorie-laden drop of it.
It brings back memories of spending The Holidays at my grandparents in Outlook, when my beloved Grandma would pour my two little sisters and I a big glass (each!) of way-too-much eggnog (or 'Dingdong', as my then-toddler sister dubbed it) to sip on before bed.
